The Cristo Rey monument is one of the places to visit in Cali with the whole family because unlike other hills in the city, the road to the mountain is completely paved so you can easily go up by car or walking without a problem. The entrance to the monument of Christ the King is free, when you arrive at the site you will find the best viewpoint in Cali where in the center is the figure molded with the cement of Christ the Redeemer with open arms towards the visitors of the sultana of the Valley.
Next to the Cristo Rey pedestal, there is also a space to walk around, perfect for taking photos of the statue or the city since you have a panoramic view of Cali. Next to the figure, there is also a chapel and a restaurant where they sell all the typical foods of Cali such as wafers, chontaduro, ears of corn with butter, and fritanga. During the weekends there are vendors selling handicrafts, souvenirs, ice creams, juices, and traditional shampoos throughout the entrance.
If you want to visit the hill at night, you must go before 7:00 pm during the week or before 8:00 pm on weekends. After visiting the statue of Jesus Christ the King on Cerro de Los Cristales, we recommend you make a stop at the pizzerias that are on the way back to Cali. They are traditional pizzerias, with a pleasant atmosphere and with access to the city where you will have an illuminated view of the city while you eat.
Finally, if you're thinking of doing some different, fun, and sporty activities in Cali, then I recommend checking out the plans from Local with a Friend.

Statue of Christ the Redeemer in Cali
The cement sculpture of El Cristo Redentor is the image of Jesus of Nazareth with open arms showing the city of Santiago de Cali. This monument is only 4 meters smaller than the Cristo del Corcovado statue found in Rio de Janeiro in Brazil, which is 30 meters high without taking into account its 8-meter pedestal.
