For this, you must leave Bogotá to the north and take the highway to Zipaquirá, continue towards Chiquinquirá and then towards San Gil and then take the road to Barichara. On this route, there are 4 tolls with an average cost of COP 8,200 each, a total of 321 kilometers, and about 6 hours of travel.
If you want to get there by taking the road through Tunja, you will find 5 tolls, a total of 350 kilometers and it will take you about 7 hours to travel to Barichara.
How to get to Barichara from Medellin?
To get from Medellín to Barichara by car, the fastest route is to first get to Bucaramanga by taking the north highway through Bello. Then take the road to San Gil and then go to Barichara. You will find 7 tolls from Medellin to Barichara, with an average cost of $9,500 each, a total of 500 kilometers, and about 10 hours of travel.
How to get to Barichara Santander from Tunja?
To get to Barichara from Tunja, you must take the road to Barbosa, then go to San Gil and thus you arrive at the town of Barichara. Taking this route you will find 4 tolls with an average cost of $8,300 each, a total of 200 kilometers and it will take about 4 hours of travel. This route compared to Duitama, is one hour faster.
How to get to Barichara by Bus?
If you want to get to Barichara by bus, you can do it by first arriving in San Gil since it is a destination with more bus routes. Then the San Gil to Barichara ticket has a price of COP 4,600, you must take the bus at the terminal and the journey takes 45 minutes. These are some average fares for the bus ticket from the main cities of Colombia to San Gil:
- Flights to Barichara from Bogotá: approximately 80,000 COP for a 7 and a half hour trip to San Gil.
