Start your day in western Cali by entering the Caliwood Museum, where the objects that were protagonists in the development of film culture in Cali are exhibited. There are movie projectors, video cameras, cameras, photographs, and movie posters among other works. The entrance to the museum has an approximate cost of COP 15,000 (4.1 dollars) and the tour lasts one hour and 30 minutes. The museum hours from Monday to Friday are from 8:00 am to 12:00 pm and from 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm; on weekends the hours are from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm.

The next museum that you should visit in Cali is La Tertulia, it is 5 minutes from Caliwood walking on Colombia Avenue. La Tertulia is considered, by many people from Cali, the main art museum in the city because it has its cinematheque and the cultural program is continuous. La Tertulia is open from Tuesday to Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. and Sundays from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. The entrance fee and the travel time depend on the exhibition that is being held. In the place, you can also have a coffee in its cafeteria or the restaurant.

Continue the route walking along Colombia Avenue to reach the park where the Gato del Río is located. It is a 3.5-meter-high bronze work that reflects the abstraction of a cat, it is exhibited outdoors and was donated by the painter and sculptor Hernando Tejada in 1996. It is a perfect place to take good photographs and learn a little about art. since there are also 15 sculptures of smaller cats you consider the “brides of the cat”.

The next gallery to visit in Santiago de Cali is the Calima Gold Museum. It is located in the Banco de la República building in the downtown area of the city. If you take a taxi from Gato de Tejada you will arrive in 10 minutes. In it, there is an archaeological exhibition dedicated to the Calima culture with more than 454 pre-Hispanic objects of goldsmithing, ceramics, stone, wood, shell, and other ethnographic objects.

In the afternoon the tour continues going to the monument of Christ the King. It is a statue of Christ the Redeemer 26 meters high located on the outskirts of Cali, on a mountain by the exit of the Bellavista neighborhood. From the center of Cali, you can take a taxi and it will take you 30 minutes to arrive. We recommend you tell the taxi driver to wait for you because it is difficult to get transportation back. In the place there is a restaurant with typical food from Valle del Cauca, selling handicrafts or souvenirs, but the best thing to see is the panoramic view that you have of all of Cali.

Upon returning from Cali's Cristo Rey mountain, the day ends at the dog park. It is a park located in the San Fernando neighborhood and is one of the oldest in the city. The attraction of the dog park is the variety of restaurants and bars that are around it.
