How much money goes in tolls and gasoline to Manizales: Hours and Km

If you want to travel by land to Manizales from the main cities of Colombia or if you are in neighboring municipalities, I am going to tell you how much tolls will cost for category 1 vehicles, how much the distance and the time to get to the municipality of Manizales.

I am also sharing an approximate gasoline consumption on each trip taking into account that my car registers a highway consumption of 45 kilometers per gallon and where the price of gasoline in Colombia after of the pandemic is 8,600 Colombian pesos (it would be about 2.2 dollars).

Tolls from Bogotá to Manizales

To get to the city of Manizales from Bogotá by car you must go through 4 tolls, 3 tolls in the department of Cundinamarca, and 1 toll in Tolima. The sum of the value of all is 43,200 Colombian pesos for an average price of $10,800 per toll. The time of entire trip is 8 hours and 22 minutes from which you travel a distance of 292 kilometers. The consumption is 6 gallons of gasoline for a cost of 51,600 Colombian pesos. So if you are going to travel from Bogotá to the capital Manizales by land, the total transportation cost is $94,800, which would be about $24 USD.

Tolls, distance, and time on the route from Ibagué to Manizales

If you travel from Ibagué you will find 4 tolls to Manizales; 1 toll in the department of Tolima, 1 in Quindío, 1 in Risaralda, and 1 in Caldas before reaching Manizales. The sum of the value of all is 49,100 Colombian pesos for an average price of $12,275 for each one. The distance of the road is 172 kilometers and the time to travel it is 4 hours and 48 minutes. Gasoline consumption is 4 gallons from Ibagué for a total cost of 34,400 Colombian pesos. So if you are going to travel from Ibagué to the city of Manizales by land, the total cost of transportation is $83,500, which would be about 21 dollars.

To get to the capital of Caldas traveling from Neiva by private car, you will have to travel a distance of 378 kilometers in 7 hours and 45 minutes of walking. For this route you will have to pay 7 tolls in total; 2 tolls in the department of Huila, 2 in Tolima, 1 in Quindío, 1 in Risaralda, and 1 in Caldas. For the journey by road from Pereira to Manizales there are 2 tolls; 1 toll in the department of Risaralda and 1 in Caldas. So if you are going to travel from Barranquilla to the city of Manizales by land, the total transportation cost is $305,300, which would be about $76 USD.

The sum of the value of all is 83,600 Colombian pesos for an average price of $10,450 for each one. The distance is 391 kilometers and the average travel time is 12 hours and 35 minutes. Regarding consumption, you can use 9 gallons of gasoline (remember that my car consumes 45 kilometers per gallon) for a total cost of 77,400 Colombian pesos. So if you are going to travel from Popayán to Manizales by land, the total transportation cost is $161,000, which would be about $40 USD.

To get by road from Pasto to Manizales there are 641 kilometers of travel and 10 tolls in total. The sum of all is 104,200 Colombian pesos where the average price per toll is $10,420. Regarding consumption up to the city of Manizales, it is 14 gallons of gasoline for a total cost of 120,400 Colombian pesos. So if you go by car to Manizales from Pasto, the total transportation cost is $224,600, which would be about 56 dollars.
