How much money goes in tolls and gasoline to Tunja: Hours and Km

If you want to travel by land to Tunja from the main cities of Colombia or if you are in neighboring municipalities, I am going to tell you how much you will get in tolls for category 1 vehicles, how much is the distance and the time to get to the municipality of Tunja.

I am also sharing an estimate of gasoline consumption on each trip, taking into account that my car registers a highway consumption of 45 kilometers per gallon and that the price of gasoline in Colombia after the pandemic is 8,600 Colombian pesos (it would be about 2.2 dollars).

How many tolls are there from Bogotá to Tunja

If you travel from Bogotá to the city of Tunja you will have to travel a distance of 140 kilometers in 2 hours and 17 minutes. This route has 3 tolls in total; 2 tolls in the department of Cundinamarca and the department of Boyacá. The sum of all is 27,400 Colombian pesos where the average price per toll is $9,133. For this journey, gasoline consumption is 3 gallons for a total average cost of 25,800 Colombian pesos. Thus, if you are going to travel from Bogotá to the capital Tunja by car, the total cost of transportation is $53,200 (USD 13).

Tolls from Ibagué to Tunja

To get to Tunja by car from Ibagué you must go through 7 tolls; 2 tolls in the department of Tolima, 4 in Cundinamarca, and 1 in Boyacá. The sum of the value of all is 73,400 Colombian pesos for an average price of $10,486 per toll. The time of the entire trip is 6 hours and 53 minutes from which you travel a distance of 341 kilometers. The consumption is 8 gallons of gasoline for a cost of 68,800 Colombian pesos. So if you are going to travel from Ibagué to the city of Tunja by land, the total cost of transportation is $142,200, which would be about $36 USD.

Tolls, distance, and time on the route from Neiva to Tunja

If you travel from Neiva you will find 8 tolls to the capital of Boyacá1 toll in the department of Huila, 2 in Tolima, 4 in Cundinamarca, and 1 in Boyacá. Gasoline consumption is 10 gallons from Neiva for a total cost of 86,000 Colombian pesos. So if you are going to travel from Neiva to Tunja by land, the total transportation cost is $175,100, which would be about 44 dollars.

How many tolls are there from Medellín to the city of Tunja

To get to Tunja traveling from Medellín by private car, you will have to travel a distance of 413 kilometers in 8 hours and 50 minutes of walking. For this route you will have to pay 5 tolls in total; 3 tolls in the department of Antioquia, 1 in Santander Colombia, and 1 in Boyacá. For this journey, gasoline consumption is around 9 gallons for a total average cost of 77,400 Colombian pesos. So if you are going to travel from Pereira to the capital Tunja by land, the total transportation cost is $184,100, which would be about $46 USD.

To get by road from Cartagena to Tunja there are 897 kilometers, 16 hours, and 58 minutes of travel and 9 tolls in total; 1 toll in the department of Bolívar, 2 in Magdalena, 3 in Cesar, 2 in Santander and 1 in Boyacá. The sum of all is 89,500 Colombian pesos where the average price per toll is $9,944. Regarding consumption up to the city of Tunja, it is 20 gallons of gasoline for a total cost of 172,000 Colombian pesos. So if you go by car to Tunja from Cartagena, the total transportation cost is $261,500, which would be about 65 dollars.

How many tolls are there from Santa Marta to the capital of Boyacá

If you travel from Santa Marta to Tunja you will have to travel a distance of 822 kilometers in 15 hours and 24 minutes of travel. So if you are going to travel from Barranquilla to the capital of the department by land, the total transportation cost is $265,100, which would be about $66 USD.

For the road journey from Popayán to Tunja there are 14 tolls; 1 toll in the department of Cauca, 4 in Valle del Cauca, 1 in Quindío, 3 tolls in the department of Tolima, 4 in Cundinamarca and 1 in Boyacá. The sum of the value of all is 140,200 Colombian pesos for an average price of $10,014 for each one. The distance is 722 kilometers and the average travel time is 13 hours and 49 minutes. Regarding consumption, you can use 16 gallons of gasoline (remember that my car consumes 45 kilometers per gallon) for a total cost of 137,600 Colombian pesos. So if you are going to travel from Popayán to the city of Tunja by land, the total transportation cost is $277,800, which would be about $69 USD.

Tolls, distance and time from Pasto to Tunja

To get by road from Pasto to La Ciudad Señorial de Colombia there are 914 kilometers, 19 hours, and 14 minutes of travel and 16 tolls in total; 1 toll in the department of Nariño, 2 in Cauca, 4 in Valle del Cauca, 1 in Quindío, 3 tolls in the department of Tolima, 4 in Cundinamarca and 1 in Boyacá. The sum of all is 161,200 Colombian pesos where the average price per toll is $10,075. Regarding consumption up to the capital of the department, it is 20 gallons of gasoline for a total cost of 172,000 Colombian pesos. So if you go by car to Tunja from Pasto, the total transportation cost is $333,200, which would be about 83 dollars.
