Meta is a department characterized by having 4 subregions, which comprise a population of 1.04 million inhabitants in 29 municipalities and where half of its population resides in the foothills of the Eastern Cordillera, to the northwest of the department of Meta, on the right of the Guatiquía river, which is where its capital Villavicencio is located.

Restrepo

Restrepo is one of the municipalities closest to Villavicencio, it is only 30 minutes away. This town is famous for the Upín Salt Mines where you can observe the process of salt water, collection, and transformation of salt.
