How to get to Queremal
To get to the corregimiento of Queremal by car from Cali you must take the old road to the sea bound for Buenaventura, the exit to it is through the terrón colorado neighborhood in Cali and the distance to travel is 47 kilometers from the Santiago de Cali exit.
You must continue along this road until kilometer 18, which is when you reach the top of the road. After you cross the bridge, the descent of the mountain begins and a few meters away you will find the detour to the left towards Queremal. If you get past that entrance, there is another entrance at kilometer 26.
You must continue along that road and once you pass the first hamlet, a few kilometers away you will find the entrance to the corregimiento. From Cali to kilometer 18 there are an average of 45 minutes and from there the intersection on the left to Queremal is another 45 minutes. There are no tolls on this route, the road after the junction is a bit narrow and some parts are unpaved.
How to get to Queremal by bus
To get to Queremal from Cali you must take a bus at the terminal to Dagua, but you must specify that you are going to Queremal because it is much earlier. Although Queremal is a corregimiento of Dagua, the distance between the town of Dagua and the Queremal corregimiento is almost an hour.
The value of the bus ticket is 18,000 Colombian pesos (5 dollars), the travel time is almost two hours and the transport company that has routes there is "Transur". The bus routes leave every 45 minutes from 5:45 am to 6:30 pm.
You can also go by taxi from Cali to Queremal, the price per trip is approximately 130,000 Colombian pesos (it would be about 40 dollars).
Climate in Queremal
The Corregimiento of El Queremal is located in the San Juan River Valley, between the slopes of the western mountain range and bordering Farallones de Cali in the southern part. Its geographical location means that its climate is pre-montane rainforest, with temperatures between 18°C and 24°C.
The best months to travel according to its climate are between June and September because it is when the dry season is, the rest of the months the rains are very constant.
El Manto de la Virgen Waterfall (Queremal - Valley)
