How to get to Ecoparque Los Alcázares: Hours and Telephones

The Los Alcázares Arenillo Ecopark is a portion of isolated forest classified as humid forest located in Manizales, Caldas. This is a property of the municipality, so you can enter for free and we recommend you do activities to observe wild flora and fauna.

The Ecopark is gigantic, there are 36 hectares of forest and trails, within the park you can take ecological tours with the guides of the place, they will also teach you good environmental practices to develop in it. On the way, you will find shelters, viewpoints, and a two-story house with colonial architecture, a clay tile roof, and very wide corridors, this is called La Quinta Colonial.

As for the climate, it is very similar to that of Manizales due to its proximity, although it is a bit more humid, the average temperature that you will feel is 15 degrees Celsius and at night it drops a bit, we mention the night because in this place you can camp.

Finally, if you are a bird lover, you can meet more than 140 species of birds from 34 families such as the Grallaria Guatimalensis, Tanager vitriolina, Red-headed Torito, Batara carcajada, among others.

How to get to Ecoparque Los Alcázares Arenillo?

Los Alcázares Arenillo Ecopark is located in the premontane area of Manizales towards the west of the city in the lower part of the Alcázares neighborhood, to get there you can do it by public transport taking route 704 of the Gran Caldas company that It goes towards Alcázares-Lusitania. Then they go up on foot through Carrera 22 until they reach the park gate. Remember that admission is free and its hours are from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
